Ak ste to ne\u010d\u00edtali, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2021\/09\/16\/from-resogun-to-returnal-the-evolving-vfx-magic-that-brought-atropos-to-life\/\">tento pr\u00edspevok je dobr\u00fdm spolo\u010dn\u00edkom tohto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Takto ten pr\u00edbeh pokra\u010duje.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playstation.com\/games\/saros\/\">Saros<\/a>, neroz\u0161\u00edrili sme len to, \u010do sme vybudovali pre Returnal. Ust\u00fapili sme, pozreli sme sa na tridsa\u0165 rokov nahromaden\u00e9ho v\u00fdvoja motora a prestavali sme ho na jednotn\u00fd r\u00e1mec: grafit.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u010co sme mali a pre\u010do sme to zmenili<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">N\u00e1\u0161 vlastn\u00fd \u010dasticov\u00fd engine, NGP (Next-Gen Particles), za\u010dal ako prototyp pre Resogun v roku 2013 a odvtedy r\u00e1stol s ka\u017edou hrou, a\u017e po Returnal. Od spolo\u010dnosti SAROS bol NGP vyspel\u00fd, ale bol tie\u017e produktom dvan\u00e1stich rokov postupn\u00fdch rozhodnut\u00ed, z ktor\u00fdch ka\u017ed\u00e9 bolo uroben\u00e9 v kontexte \u0161pecifickej izolovanej hry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Potom sa zmenilo nie\u010do in\u00e9: my. Pripoji\u0165 sa k PlayStation Studios znamenalo poskytova\u0165 z\u00e1\u017eitky na \u00farovni, ktor\u00fa na\u0161i hr\u00e1\u010di o\u010dak\u00e1vaj\u00fa, a na\u0161e n\u00e1stroje a men\u00e1, ktor\u00e9 sme im dali, u\u017e nezodpovedali \u0161t\u00fadiu, ktor\u00fdm sme sa st\u00e1vali.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Zadajte grafit. Prin\u00e1\u0161a simul\u00e1ciu GPU, vykres\u013eovanie, n\u00e1stroje a integr\u00e1ciu DCC pod jednou architekt\u00farou, postavenou priamo pre hardv\u00e9r PlayStation. NGP nezmizol, stal sa s\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou grafitu, vyvinul sa a je schopnej\u0161\u00ed ako kedyko\u013evek predt\u00fdm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ka\u017ed\u00e1 hra Housemarque m\u00e1 vizu\u00e1lnu identitu, ktor\u00fa hr\u00e1\u010di okam\u017eite rozpoznaj\u00fa. V Sarose sme chceli, aby bol \u017eivou s\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou sveta, ktor\u00fd reaguje na v\u0161etko, \u010do sa v \u0148om deje.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">V Returnale bola na\u0161a objemov\u00e1 hmla u\u017e reakt\u00edvna, ale pr\u00edli\u0161 n\u00edzka frekvencia a \u0165a\u017ek\u00e9 \u010dasov\u00e9 filtrovanie jej br\u00e1nilo zobrazova\u0165 jemn\u00e9 detaily. Pre Saros sme vytvorili dve doplnkov\u00e9 rie\u0161enia: n\u00edzkofrekven\u010dn\u00fa hmlu pre okolit\u00fa atmosf\u00e9ru a vysokofrekven\u010dn\u00fa hmlu pre efekty post\u00e1v, ktor\u00e9 mo\u017eno vidie\u0165 v \u0161peci\u00e1lnych pr\u00edbehov\u00fdch miestnostiach v Carcose.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>N\u00edzka frekvencia hmly<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Ako v\u00fdchodiskov\u00fd bod sme vzali froxelov\u00fa hmlu Unreal Engine, voxelov\u00fa mrie\u017eku zarovnan\u00fa do zrezan\u00e9ho okraja, a prestavali sme jej v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 \u010dasti, aby vyhovovali na\u0161ej v\u00edzii.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Prvou v\u00fdzvou bola \u010dasov\u00e1 stabilita. Koeficient hyster\u00e9zie riadi, ko\u013eko \u00fadajov z predch\u00e1dzaj\u00facej sn\u00edmky hmla dr\u017e\u00ed: Predvolen\u00e1 hodnota Unrealu 90 % udr\u017euje obraz stabiln\u00fd, ale hmla je pomal\u00e1 na r\u00fdchlo sa pohybuj\u00facich kamer\u00e1ch a svetl\u00e1ch. Stla\u010dili sme to na 50% pomocou chvenia modr\u00e9ho \u0161umu a up\u00ednania h\u013abky, aby sme udr\u017eali v\u00fdsledn\u00fd aliasing pod kontrolou.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Saros tie\u017e potreboval hmlu, ktor\u00e1 by mohla predstavova\u0165 v\u0161etko od okolitej hmly s n\u00edzkou hustotou a\u017e po pr\u00edzemn\u00fa hmlu s vysokou hustotou. Aby sme ich verne vykreslili, pou\u017eili sme:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>du\u00e1lny Henyey-Greenstein<\/strong> f\u00e1zov\u00e1 funkcia modeluj\u00faca, ako sa svetlo rozpty\u013euje dopredu a dozadu cez hmlu v z\u00e1vislosti od uhla poh\u013eadu.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>farebn\u00fd absorp\u010dn\u00fd koeficient<\/strong>, ktor\u00e9 ur\u010duje, ko\u013eko svetla sa absorbuje pri prechode m\u00e9diom, pre ove\u013ea \u0161ir\u0161\u00ed rozsah farieb ako tradi\u010dn\u00e9 monochromatick\u00e9 rie\u0161enia.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>samotieniaci syst\u00e9m<\/strong> ktor\u00e1 agreguje prich\u00e1dzaj\u00face sveteln\u00e9 zdroje do dominantn\u00e9ho smeru tie\u0148ovania a l\u00fa\u010de k nemu pochoduj\u00fa.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>fyzik\u00e1lne zalo\u017een\u00fd integr\u00e1l osvetlenia oblohy<\/strong>, pre presn\u00e9 dia\u013ekov\u00e9 osvetlenie bez obetovania v\u00fdkonu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">Spolo\u010dne to dodalo atmosf\u00e9re Carcosy uzemnen\u00fa fyzick\u00fa kvalitu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">,Napokon, n\u00edzkofrekven\u010dn\u00e1 hmla je plne interakt\u00edvna. Advekcia z na\u0161ej simul\u00e1cie kvapal\u00edn, ktor\u00e1 sleduje hr\u00e1\u010da, sa priv\u00e1dza priamo do kroku hyster\u00e9zie hustoty, v\u010faka \u010domu je ka\u017ed\u00fd pohyb hr\u00e1\u010da, projektil, v\u00fdbuch a nepriate\u013e \u010ditate\u013en\u00fd v hmle v re\u00e1lnom \u010dase.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vysokofrekven\u010dn\u00e1 hmla<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Pre vysokofrekven\u010dn\u00fa hmlu sme postavili vlastn\u00fd l\u00fa\u010dov\u00fd pochodova\u010d. Aby sme udr\u017eali v\u00fdkon pod kontrolou a z\u00e1rove\u0148 zachovali vernos\u0165, pred pochodom zoskupujeme rozptylov\u00e9 \u00fadaje do skup\u00edn voxelov 8x8x8, pri\u010dom kresl\u00edme iba zhluky, ktor\u00e9 obsahuj\u00fa \u00fadaje, pri\u010dom ich po\u010det dr\u017e\u00ed pod kontrolou u\u017e\u00edvate\u013eom definovan\u00fd prah. Exponovali sme parametre pre albedo, absorbanciu, hustotu a tie\u0148ovanie, \u010d\u00edm sme umo\u017enili umelcom vyv\u00e1\u017ei\u0165 vizu\u00e1ly a v\u00fdkon pre ka\u017ed\u00fd zv\u00e4zok.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Tieto dva syst\u00e9my hmly sa potom zl\u00fa\u010dia: po\u010das vysokofrekven\u010dn\u00e9ho pochodu vzorkujeme \u00fadaje o rozptyle hmly s n\u00edzkou frekvenciou a v\u00fdsledky pod\u00e1vame sp\u00e4\u0165, aby oba zostali navz\u00e1jom konzistentn\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pr\u00edpady pou\u017eitia<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">Vysokofrekven\u010dn\u00fa objemov\u00fa hmlu sme pou\u017eili v nieko\u013ek\u00fdch scen\u00e1roch. Jeden pr\u00edpad pou\u017eitia bol v Prol\u00f3gu vo forme dymovej lebky s pripojen\u00fdmi k\u00e1blami. \u010eal\u0161\u00edm pr\u00edpadom pou\u017eitia bolo to, \u010do naz\u00fdvame Mirages.
